Design brief

Fisherman’s Kitchen is the new name for the re-brand of the highly successful Buth Bheag, seafood shop and takeaway, in Kyle of Lochalsh. Along with a new name comes a brand new shop building, and new catering trailer.

The logo and branding design strive to convey the traditional values and heritage of this local, family-run business – but with a modern twist.

This interim changeover period from old shop and name, to new, can be challenging, but it’s important for returning customers to be able to recognise the business and the quality of food and service on offer.

With a strong logo at its core, future design work can build on this new branding through signage, stationery and uniforms for the shop and catering trailer, to keep the style consistent and recognisable throughout as the business grows.

Customer comments

We went to Emma for marketing help to rebrand our business after seeing other businesses she had worked with.

Armed with screenshots and a very rough idea of what we were looking for, we went to see Emma, and from there she produced our new logo which we are delighted with. She has a very good eye for detail.

We have bombarded her with work as it wasn’t just a simple rebranding, but whole new elements to the business that had to be taken into account.

Emma dealt with it all promptly and professionally and I can’t wait to see the finished results on our shop, catering trailer and web site.
