Framing for heavy or awkward objects

Frames

15 Jan

Just because your object is heavy, doesn’t mean it can’t be framed. This bespoke frame was made for a painting on slate so it can be hung securely on the wall.

The weight of the slate itself is very substantial and the smooth sides and back make it difficult to attach any fixings. The frame has been built with a recess for the slate to slot into which holds it tightly while allowing the slate to sit just proud of the frame so the character of the slate can still be enjoyed.

Bespoke frame slate

The frame was made using a deep, square cut oiled ash with a tweed fabric border surrounding the slate.

Framing options can be designed to suit a range of objects, allowing you to display and enjoy your special items. Get in touch if you’d like to discuss framing ideas for a treasured object.
