Do you remember your first pair?

Box frame shoes

I love to frame objects which are sentimental and have a special memory attached. These latest baby shoes were super cute as well as being nostalgic.

Both pairs were gorgeous but needed a slightly different style of frame to match their individual characters. The little pink crochet shoes were very delicate and I made a limed ash frame to keep the frame light in colour. Ash has a subtle pinky hue when limed which matched really well with the pink shoes.

I paired the bunny shoes with a dark wooden frame to match the brown of the bunnies. These wee shoes were a little bit sturdier and needed a more robust frame to sit within.
