A frame can make a huge difference to the artwork or objects inside. I recently re-framed this series of knots to create a statement piece for display.

The original frame was very dark and cramped with the knots arranged in a bit of a haphazard way.

I designed a layout which took into account the size and shape of each knot and gave them all a bit of breathing room. Working with a local artist, the small brass nameplates were replaced with handwritten calligraphy depicting the name of each knot. The resulting frame is a modern deep box with good contrast to show off the knots.
